Can You Do A 5th Grade Math Question?

This is a 5th grade math problem. If you can open the spreadsheet, you'll see it's a very small list of people who have gotten the correct number.
This is not a trick question (so don't say that a bus doesn't have legs). This is a real math problem and everything you need to answer it is in the following:

There are 7 children in a bus.
Each child has 7 backpacks.
In each backpack, there are 7 big cats.
For every big cat there are 7 little cats.
Question: How many legs are there in the bus?

(Obviously, you don't have the attachment to see if your number is correct. Feel free to guess.....I'll post the answer later.) BTW- don't read the comments if you want to work this out on your own! Crystal got it right!!!

Ha ha! I was right. Although I was too chicken to post this morning. I've had the answer written on a post it note all day. It could also be 10992 if you include the bus driver. The problem didn't say anything about the driver but someone's gotta take bus full of kids and kitties to school.

I got it, but of course I had to open up an excel spreadsheet to do it!
