Friday Afternoon- No nap for Ben. We thought we were "safe". Surely our sweet little boy will sleep for at least a couple of hours during the 6 1/2 hour drive to Jacksonville, FL. Don't let this picture fool you. He was up after 45 minutes and awake and MAD the whole trip.

Any pointers on traveling with an 18 month old?? And don't tell me cheap NEW toys that he can throw or DVD's....our DVD doesn't attach to a seat, so if Ben can't hold it, he ain't happy!

My high school friend let us crash at her place. I can't imagine what the trip would have been like if we were not able to stop.

On Saturday morning, we went to the Beach Diner! It was one of those Mom and Pop places that fills up and has lines out the door by 10 AM. It was WONDERFUL.

After breakfast, we went out by the water with Dawn and her boyfriend Chris.

It was still early, so it wasn't 100 degrees, yet. Ben was not wearing a bathing suit but ended up covered in sand and water from head to toe. It was great!

After waking up at 7, going out to eat by 9, playing in the sand until 10:30, surely this little guy is in for a good nap, right?

Don't let this picture fool you. He was up after 1 hour! At least the naps are getting longer, right?

Grrrr.....

Anyway, we checked into our 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. We'll be living here for the next two weeks. We met a lot of the other people that will be attending the training with us. I am probably now known as the "Mother who forgot her child's bib to the first dinner and let her child completely coat himself in spaghetti." Yeah....I'm THAT mom.

But, everyone is really nice and laid back.....which is VERY different then what I am used to.

I'm BEAT! Ben's asleep! Caleb's WIDE awake because he had like 5 cups of coffee!
